When you register at our practice, you do not have to pay for consultations or home visits by our general practitioners. Nursing care at the practice and at home is also included. However, it is essential to ensure your registration with your health insurance fund is up to date!
Medisch Huis ’t Rondpunt, your health insurance fund, and you will enter into a contract together.

The only exception is if you require urgent help and are too far from home to consult your regular practice (e.g., while on holiday in Belgium).
Consultations at hospitals, specialists, dentists, and physiotherapists are not subject to this rule and will still be reimbursed by your health insurance fund (except for the co-payment).

Absolutely! We collaborate with all hospitals and specialists in the area. You are free to choose where and by whom you wish to have certain tests or treatments performed.
We do, however, ask you to consult with us first rather than seeing a specialist on your own initiative. Did you know that bringing a referral letter from your GP entitles you to higher reimbursement rates at the specialist?
What about paramedics such as coaches, therapists, and psychologists?
Consultations with paramedics must still be paid for by the patient. You remain free to choose your paramedic. While we work closely with certain paramedics, you are under no obligation to consult them.

Be sure to inform the hospital in time that home nursing will be arranged through us!

I live half the year near Medisch Huis ’t Rondpunt and the other half elsewhere. Can I register?
Within Belgium:
If you have a general practitioner elsewhere in Belgium for half the year, it is better NOT to register. However, you can agree with us to visit occasionally as a “guest.” Please come by to discuss a tailored arrangement with us! We also consider it important to collaborate optimally with your other general practitioner.
Abroad:
If you reside abroad for half the year and want a general practitioner in Belgium as well, you CAN register. The restrictions regarding consulting other general practitioners only apply to GPs in Belgium. You can therefore be registered with us while also having a GP abroad. Discuss this with us so that we can collaborate optimally with your other GP!
What if I urgently need a general practitioner while on holiday?
On holiday in Belgium:
Consult a GP on-site. Request a report and provide us with the medical certificate so we can process the reimbursement.
On holiday abroad:
Consult a GP on-site. The service will be reimbursed by your health insurance fund according to the general rules (E111).
